I hope everyone is excited and ready to move to the delta5fitness.com website! And I also hope that you are all enjoying the programming I've been developing. Sectionals are coming up fast!
I will leave this website up and hopefully have a redirect of some sort by tomorrow. I am meeting with the webdesigner tomorrow, and we hope to give you not only a main page to comment on, but also a forum as .com does. Oh, and unlike those other guys, I promise to give you your right to free speech. It doesn't get any better than that!
I must say I've been stressed to high heaven. I took the SDPD polygraph test today, and I think I passed. I was told that they would have their decision for me by next week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
I also noticed that Coke Zero is yummy, although I know better. Lately I've been getting sweet cravings, and I did not put the two together until Patty mentioned one night "maybe that diet soda is making you crave sweets! I should have known better!
(BTW, I did have some brownies and ice cream last night) :D

Gene-
Like the shirts!
Franiel-
Make this your comeback!
Did the 100 burpee/pull-ups:
15:13
SO SLOW!
But I attributed it to being WOD #2 of the morning. I plan to attack this one again (fresh) for a faster time at some point. It was a good one!
Herm-
Good luck as you wait to hear. Coke Zero?!
Liquid poison!
Thank you for providing a great run and awesome community with this website. I look forward to checking out the new site.
Happy Friday!

Hey everyone I hope you all are well, I think my last post got ate so here we go again. My diet has been sucking lately because the main ingredient in a care package is candy. I havn't been on here in about a month because of busyness and lack of internet. Is everyone still planning on going to the games? Well I hope all is well
Good luck herm on all your doing.

Franiel - great job getting back into it - you're taking the WODs head-on - way to go.
Herm: I've been looking at the new site - I'm excited, way to go. I'll be praying about the SDPD job. Don't worry about the diet too much - you'll get back 'cause you'll drive yourself crazy and Patty won't let you stay in that funk for long
bryar - great to hear from you man - I hope all is well over there.
J9 - that's an awesome time for burpee-pullups, especially as WOD #2 for the day

Took another rest day because of extreme fatigue. Seems like every time I manage a 3 on, I need 2 off.
Feeling pretty good today and plan on hitting the 100 burpee-pullups WOD. I'll set a time limit of 20:00 and stop there if I don't hit 100. My pullup bar is only 3 inches above my reach. This looks like it will feel like the Avalanche for amount of work.

Herm- the website looks good. Didn't see a page or area designated as FRAT but maybe I overlooked it. I'll try again. Great job with the new job plans. I'm sure you did fab on the test! You probably need the sugar (ie: Coke Zero) to keep up with your current agenda! I don't know how you do it.
Paul- I'm with you on being tired and needing more rest. Funny thing about that squat wod. The next 2 days, no pain. Day 3 I woke up and it hurt to move my legs. Talk about delayed reaction! Whats up with that, I wonder.
Whoever recommended the Lights Out book, thankyou. That was an awesome read. It totally erased my guilt for wanting to sleep so much lately.
In response to the book and their suggestions for losing fat, I have totally elimanated carbs from my diet, except for winter veggies once a day. So basically, I'm eating meats, nuts, eggs, and avacados. I am seriously craving fruit and milk. So far I have not lost any weight, but its only been 4-5 days since I quit eating fruit, so maybe thats no long enough to see a change in the scale.
Bryar- will you post a snail mail address please. I'd like to mail you something besides candy!
Jenn- hang in there gf. You have a lot on your plate with writing lesson plans and all that goes with starting to teach. Its very stressful. I also am tempted to cope with food, but I have to remind myself that junk food isn't a solution to the problem, it just complicates things in the long run. Its tempting to numb the stress with junk, but in the end, the price is way too high to pay. Instead, get a massage, or buy a new hair clip or workout outfit, or soak in some scented bath oil while listening to great tunes. (next week, you may have to throw this advice back in my face, but thats ok, I will need to hear it too).
Yesterday I found a great trail. 3.6 mi and every so often there is an activity. The first pad is a pullup/chinup area. The next one is a stump jump alternating 10 and 20 inch stumps. The next one is dip bars (parallel). The next one is a tire course, and so forth. So you can run/walk a while and then stop and do a challenge, and continue on. Its an awesome trail. Its covered in packed snow/ice so its slippery, but it follows along a river so the scenery thru the woods is amazing. Theres even a suspension bridge. I'm so excited to have found this. Wish ya'll were here to enjoy it with me.
